About Project Hospitality – Outpatient – Mid Island
Project Hospitality provides community based programs for folks of all ages in Staten Island, New York. They focus on serving homeless people who suffer from multiple diagnoses, including mental health conditions and drug addictions. At their outpatient clinic, you’ll get medication assisted treatment, harm reduction options, and counseling to get you back on your feet.
I like that this program gives you many different ways to treat your condition. They’ll work with you to develop a custom recovery tract based on your goals. If those goals change over time, you can easily switch tracts and participate in different services. If you’re struggling with an addiction, their therapy, harm reduction kits and addiction medications approved by the FDA can help. These meds are designed to help ease your pain and control your cravings as you recover.
In addition, they’ve group counseling sessions where you can talk about new ways to improve parenting and control anger. A multidisciplinary team of experts leads the program, including psychiatrists, social workers, counselors and medical directors. If your symptoms are acute, they’ll refer you to their inpatient center.
One client says this program saved his life when he was struggling with addiction. He’s now back in school, about to start a new career, and he owes it all to the help he received here.
