About Project Reward – Norwalk
Project Reward is located in Norwalk, Connecticut. They provide treatment for women and women with children who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Since 1942, this agency has provided quality care and continues to expand, helping individuals enhance their quality of life. Their Project Reward program includes an intensive outpatient program (IOP) as well as early intervention outpatient treatment for women. They accept HUSKY insurance.
To better assist you they will conduct an evaluation to discuss issues regarding chemical dependency and the ways your mental health has been impacted. Based on these results they can also provide medication management, drug and alcohol screenings and referrals to additional services.
Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) includes group treatment for three hours a day, three days a week. They can provide transportation if that is a barrier for you. Their group sessions touch on various topics to equip you for recovery such as parenting skills, co-dependency issues, trauma recovery, domestic violence and nutrition education.
Their early intervention outpatient program is designed for women who have gained long term sobriety or have completed the IOP. This treatment includes case management, aftercare planning, individual counseling, psychiatric evaluations if needed and group therapy. This level of care allows more flexibility for you to adjust your schedule with employment, child care, or continued education while still receiving support for your journey of recovery.
Project Reward is conveniently located just off Highway 7. It’s just one block from Union Park, which provides a nice setting for quiet reflection before or after treatment sessions and offers access to the Norwalk River Valley Trail for a healthy hike or bike ride.
