About Providence Behavioral Health Hospital – Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program – Springfield
As one of Trinity Health’s many health locations, the now-closed Providence Behavioral Health Hospital used to provide various mental and behavioral support services to clients of all ages and their families. Based in Springfield, Massachusetts, they accepted Medicaid, MassHealth, and other insurance plans. They also offered financial assistance, charity and discounted care, as well as short and long-term payment plans.
Based near the banks of the winding Connecticut River, this particular location was once well-known for its methadone maintenance treatment program for opioid use disorder (OUD), something that set it apart from other similar Trinity behavioral centers. Meanwhile, clients could also access driver alcohol education services and various outpatient addiction treatment options.
Clients could access outpatient counseling and teletherapy as needed, along with life skills therapies to teach them valuable transferable skills to support them throughout their recovery. Office-based addiction treatment was also available here, along with safety and crisis support. Aftercare planning was also included to help ensure clients could experience a long-term, sustainable recovery.
Along with its personalized addiction treatment services, this program also once provided health evaluation services, as well as psychiatric care for more senior clients.
While a range of mental and behavioral support services were available here for a range of conditions like depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and more, individuals in need of more intensive support could be referred to other local Trinity facilities as needed.
