Once at the ER department, a qualified medical team member will assess you and you will be triaged to collect mental and physical health information. Once that is completed, you and the team will form an action care plan so that you can access the resources you need. This may be by way of outpatient services, or you may be admitted to the behavioral and mental health unit for inpatient services.
When you need more support than can be offered through outpatient or a one time emergency visit, there is a 14 bed inpatient unit that provides support to individuals who may be suffering from addiction, depression, mood or personality disorders, and other emotional concerns.
Treatment includes assessments and evaluations as well as a personalized care plan. There will be group and recreational therapy, mental health education and medication management services.
Adults who need comprehensive support but who may not be able to be away from home or may not need 24/7 inpatient treatment can attend intensive outpatient treatment. This IOP program helps individuals identify mental health concerns, set treatment goals, and recognize and work towards their recovery needs.
Assessments, individual therapy, group activities and therapy sessions with masters or doctorate clinicians. There will be medication management services and crisis prevention provided.
