About Purple Recovery Center for Men – Lawrenceville
Purple is a unique rehab center for men in Lawrenceville, Georgia. It’s a residential treatment program, but it’s very different from traditional residential rehab.
This program is based on the philosophy of an Active Recovery Lifestyle. Many rehabs focus only on taking drugs and alcohol out of your life. Purple does this but they also emphasize adding fulfillment and empowerment to your life. They guide you toward finding new healthy ways to satisfy the needs that used to lead you to drugs and alcohol.
This program usually lasts four to six months. It’s all highly personalized to you and what will best serve your recovery. There’s an emphasis on brotherhood along the way too. You’ll learn how to support and receive support from your fellow men, and you’ll build bonds that will strengthen your long term sobriety.
While I was intrigued and encouraged by the whole philosophy of this rehab I also noticed that they take a step down approach. You start with a more intensive program and treatment, but as you get further along in your recovery you take on more and more freedom. This could be a great way to ease back into independent life by the end of your program.
