Located in Raleigh, North Carolina is the Raleigh Rescue Mission. This is a non-profit, faith-based organization that provides emergency services and community support services to adults, children, and families who are experiencing homelessness.
Going beyond just providing support that addresses housing insecurity, the Raleigh Rescue Mission can also connect you to different programs that will improve your overall health and well being. They also offer their own programming including rehabilitation programs for families and single adults to help you reclaim your life.
Through these programs and services, you’ll have access to counseling, treatment, and even medication support to address a coexisting substance abuse or mental health struggles you’re facing.
One of the most comprehensive services they offer here is their New Life Plan Program. This program puts you in permanent housing while you receive services like job training, job placement, transportation support, and financial coaching.
At the heart of this program is compassionate and loving support from your case manager and other staff. While these services will help improve your life, it’s the compassionate care that really drives home the notion that you have what it takes to lead a fruitful life. Many people enrolled in this program receive services for around a year before they’re able to move forward independently.
There is a homeless service resource referral card that can connect you to different resources including treatment for substance abuse struggles you may be experiencing. Through their New Life Plan Treatment Program, you’ll also be assigned a client success manager. This manager can connect you to different programs and services in the community that can address your substance use struggles as well.
