About Rappahannock Area Community Services Board – Jackson Street – Fredericksburg
The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB), located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, provides outpatient services in support of mental health and addiction treatment. They also have peer support and provide community training and prevention programs.
This address is their main office, so they can refer you to programs around the community. They accept a variety of insurance plans and can also make arrangements for self pay. They do not turn down anyone for services because they can’t afford treatment.
RACSB has targeted court programs for those involved in the justice system. There are three specialty dockets. Recovery Court helps non violent offenders avoid jail sentences by offering substance use treatment and monitoring to ensure participants follow through. They have Recovery Court for both adults and juveniles.
The Spotsylvania Behavioral Health Docket supports those with serious mental health diagnoses who have committed non violent felonies. RACSB provides intensive treatment and supervision for crimes committed in Spotsylvania by people who reside in Fredericksburg City or surrounding counties. This program also includes peer support.
The Veterans Docket offers treatment for veterans involved in the justice system. Veterans can get mental health and/or substance use treatment in place of going to jail. The program also provides court supervision and mentorship to help veterans get back on their feet and lead productive lives.
Another unique part of RACSB’s services is that they offer a wide range of support groups focused on non-substance use or mental health interests. For example, there’s a group called “Remodeled Recovery” and a men’s group called “Rock N Recovery.”
They also have groups focused on specific mental health concerns, including anxiety, unusual experiences, and grief support. There are groups that meet on weekends as well as midweek support so you can get the help you need on your schedule.
