About Rawhide Youth and Family Counseling – Green Bay – De Pere
With direct access to the largest bay in Lake Michigan, De Pere, Wisconsin, features Rawhide Youth and Family Counseling – Green Bay. Since 1965, this faith-based charity has provided compassionate care for at-risk youth aged 11 to 18 who are experiencing mental health disorders, addiction and other behavioral health challenges. They require a county or state court order for youth to participate in their programs. Youth can access six to nine-month residential programs or standard outpatient counseling.
For me, their emphasis on whole person healing and strength from a higher power truly stands out. They understand that reaching sobriety is just one part of your child’s journey. Your kid can participate in holistic approaches to heal their mind, body and soul.
Their equine assisted therapy program really caught my eye. Your child can reinvent their understanding of bonding with the help of horses. This approach empowers your teen to recognize and express emotions, enhance self-awareness and build trust. These qualities can carry over into daily interactions, helping participants strengthen relationships while overcoming challenges.
Another great feature I noticed was their job training program. Your teen can access hands-on behavioral job training in welding, automotive and culinary arts. I think this is wonderful because your child can explore their career interests while creating a foundation for stability after treatment. Your teen will leave their program with industry certificates and academic credits.
