About RECAP Inc – Middletown

The Trust Center of Regional Economic Community Action Program is located in Middletown, New York. They are an outpatient treatment center who specialize in substance use disorders. You are able to call to set up an appointment that will determine your clinical criteria for care. Once that is determined, they will be able to help you with payment arrangements. Medicaid and Medicaid managed care plans are accepted.

I do like that the facility is smoke free. To treat cravings and reduce the side effects of withdrawal, medication assisted treatment is available. Medications that may be used are Vivitrol, Suboxone and Neltrexone. There are registered physicians and registered nurses on site. What is nice about them is that they also provide innovative treatment. There is cognitive behavioral therapy, meditation, yoga and acupuncture.

What I did find to be a nice feature is that lunch is provided for anyone in the day programs. During your individual and/or group therapy sessions, the counselors will help you identify your triggers. By helping you identify your triggers you may be able to avoid relapsing and develop a treatment plan.

If you would feel better in an all women’s or all men’s group, they do have gender specific groups. I also like that they are able to provide HIV testing on site. Dual focus treatment is also available as well as DWI screenings and assessments. You will also be introduced to the 12 step program.
