About Resonance Center For Women Inc – Tulsa
If you’re in Tulsa, Oklahoma, you’ll find the Resonance Center for Women. It’s a center for alcohol and drug abuse for women under court order. Although clients can be self-referred, the majority come from parole or probation officers and other agencies in the justice system. Once you do get in, you’ll have options that include intensive outpatient care, transitional living, and a reentry program.
When you’re released from jail, chances are you won’t have much money or resources. This is where Resonance comes in. They’ll help you get back on your feet. You’ll get job training, education classes to help with your health and finances, and classes to develop life skills.
A transitional living center is also available. Here, you’ll stay with other women for up to six months or until you get a job and are ready to move out. You’ll be required to do chores and help out with the local community. You’ll also be responsible for paying a subsidized rent after the first month. That way, you’ll learn how to be financially responsible. Along the way, you’ll bond with your fellow residents so that you’ll recover together.
Resonance also has a cafe that employs clients. It’s open to the public, and proceeds go toward helping you and other clients learn skills in food prep, customer service, and cash management. The work experience will resonate with you while giving an anchor for your recovery.
