For over 60 years, Avivo has helped over 10,000 people a year improve their lives. They help people reach recovery from substance use, get education and work skills, find housing and gain English skills. Avivo has over 12 locations, the Chicago Avenue one is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
They provide substance use assessments and provide recovery programs for people with addiction. They also treat you if you have co-occurring disorders.
They have intensive outpatient treatment (which can include housing if you need a place to live). They also have programs that are specifically for women and mothers with children. They offer much more than just treatment for substance use. They help you achieve stability in all aspects of your life. That might mean helping with educational programs where you can become a credentialed skilled worker, parenting skills, or something else. They’ll do what they can to give you a leg up.
Avivo offers holistic care that takes wellness into account. Treatment includes movement, nutrition and mindfulness.
They also have a community support program. This free program is available to any Hennepin County resident who lives with severe mental illness. This program offers social connections, engaging activities and helpful resources. This is offered in-person and virtually.
