About Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas – Benton
Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas is a Joint Commission accredited treatment provider in Benton, Arkansas. They offer many behavioral health services for a wide range of ages from children as young as 4 to adults. They treat substance use disorder and they have a dual diagnosis program.
This is an acute-care 80 bed hospital located in a beautiful 17 acre wooded area. In addition to the inpatient treatment programs, they also offer outpatient programs for adults.
The facility accepts private health insurance as well as Medicare. They don’t have programs specific to Veterans but they do take TRICARE.
The first step for many people with a substance use disorder is detox. This is the process of ridding your body of toxic substances. You’ll get an evaluation first and if appropriate, you’ll have a monitored detox with medication.
You’ll then have group therapy options that meet your unique needs and goals. In addition, you’ll have individual and family therapy where appropriate. You’ll also get acquainted with the 12 Step model and have the opportunity to meet with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) groups in a private setting.
There’s a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults where you can get the support you need to transition out of the inpatient program. The PHP involves about five hours of therapy during the day at the hospital. You’ll learn about the phases of recovery, do guided journaling, and attend life skills seminars. When you finish the program, you’ll also get an individual aftercare plan.
They have an intensive outpatient program (IOP). You can attend this program without going through an inpatient program first if you want. This program may work better for your schedule since the program is Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. They can help you with transportation too if you need it.
If you’re not sure which program would be best for you, there’s a no cost assessment to help you determine the best course of treatment. If you decide on the IOP program, you’ll usually attend for about three months.
