About River’s Bend, P.C. – Troy
River’s Bend PC is a private outpatient substance use and mental health disorder clinic in Troy, Michigan. They’ve been providing treatment services to the community since 1995, giving adults, kids, and families more than 30 years of experience. Clients can be treated in person or through telehealth for any of their programs.
Members of the clinical staff include professionals in psychiatry, social work, nursing and substance use. The licensed therapists will provide individuals with a comfortable and safe space to share their challenges and begin the therapeutic process. The facility offers a substance use intensive outpatient program for adults and adolescents, substance use evaluations and SAP DOT Evaluations.
Clients will work with therapists who have training in multiple therapeutic approaches such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma focused therapy, and relationship therapy. The therapist will help clients set goals to improve in certain areas that can assist with their sobriety. Those areas may include developing coping skills, decreasing levels of anxiety and stress and improving relationships.
Teen clients will receive substance use treatment through the dual diagnosis adolescent intensive outpatient program. The staff accommodates a teen’s busy schedule by providing a hybrid option where sessions can be conducted both virtually and in person. Teen patients will be in the program for six to eight weeks, with sessions occurring three times a week and three hours a day.
This time frame is the same for the adult intensive outpatient program, and they have the option of choosing treatment in the daytime, afternoon or evening. After completion of the program, patients can enter the early recovery group, which has a 1.5 hour group session once a week. The group focuses on sober life management, repairing relationships and other issues related to early recovery.
