About Robert Young Center – Community Support Program – Rock Island
Robert Young Center, part of the UnityPoint Health network, offers detox, medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient programs, general outpatient programs, and aftercare services for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance addiction. Specialized programs are available for justice-involved clients. Robert Young Center is located in Muscatine, Iowa.
Upon arrival, clients undergo an assessment to determine the level of care needed. Clients eligible for ambulatory detox are supervised throughout detox treatment to prevent relapse. Case management is provided, which can include nutritional guidelines and medication management, including FDA approved prescriptions such as naltrexone and buprenorphine. Once clients stabilize, they transition into an outpatient program.
Intensive outpatient involves more hours of treatment than regular outpatient. This typically includes daily group therapy and interventions for addiction and mental health. Clients in both outpatient tracks engage in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness therapy.
In general outpatient, clients receive individual and group counseling, with greater flexibility and independence in their scheduling and sessions. Family conferencing and resources are also available.
Clients receive continual care and support, including medication assisted treatment for alumni. Acute cases may be referred to an inpatient center in the UnityPoint Health network or to an outside facility.
Aftercare provides additional resources to prevent relapse. Clients have access to program referrals, peer support groups, and recovery education.
The Robert Young Center accepts a variety of insurance plans which can include Aetna, Amerigroup, United Healthcare, Ambetter, and BlueCross/BlueShield. Individuals with out of network benefits are advised to contact their provider to verify insurance coverage.
