About Rockingham Memorial Hospital – Behavioral Health Services – Harrisonburg
Sentara’s Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia, serves a seven-county area providing a variety of inpatient and outpatient behavioral services. This includes treatment for substance use disorder and addiction. Support is available to adults aged 18 and older, regardless of race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
Including families in the treatment process is a big part of this hospital’s approach. And it makes sense. Strong support systems and community are a huge factor in successful long-term recovery. They also partner closely with local nonprofits and schools to offer further services and support community wellbeing.
Support is also offered for co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, and more. There’s also 24-hour crisis care on hand, as well as counseling services to offer clients an outlet and a safe space to understand and talk about their issues.
Rockingham also provides a partial hospitalization program that includes individual, group, and family therapy, educational services, and stress management support within a structured psychiatric program and setting. Clients can return home at the end of each day to touch base and connect with their family or support system. These services are offered for up to six hours per day, five days a week.
