Royal Life Centers at Puget Sounds is a substance use disorder treatment center in Sumner, Washington. At this facility, clients can receive detox services for drugs and alcohol and then receive residential inpatient treatment services.
The center focuses on providing clients with a holistic treatment for addiction. Many of their staff members are also in recovery and are able to relate to clients through their experiences. There is medical staff on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Staff members check in on patients every 15 to 30 minutes to closely monitor their safety and well-being. Amenities available to patients include unlimited snacks and a full-time chef.
I like that Royal Life Centers has both traditional treatment options, like therapy sessions, and a variety of alternative treatment options. As a part of their holistic services, treatment options available to clients include massage chairs, saunas, and hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
Royal Life Centers also offers VR therapy and biofeedback. Through VR therapy, clients can experience a simulation of an environment that would be triggering in the past and come up with effective solutions to use in the future.
In addition to these services, the facility makes an effort to provide culture-based healing by including Native American practices such as sweat lodges and drum making. Royal Life Center is a nationally certified White Bison treatment program.
The length of stay is predetermined and clients remain in the facility’s care until they’ve completed the level of care they are participating in. Once they’ve successfully completed treatment, they can choose to live in the graduate housing until they’re ready to transition back into society.
