About Ryan Rehabilitation – Kensington
Ryan Rehabilitation is a DWI and DUI education and treatment program and rehabilitation facility in Kensington, Maryland. They provide Maryland state certified DWI/DUI education and treatment for people about to enter court, are court ordered, have probationary responsibilities or are directed by a lawyer or the motor vehicle administration. They also offer behavioral health and anger management counseling.
Depending on your needs, there’s a 12 hour brief education program for adults or an intensive outpatient group counseling program that lasts 26 sessions. They work with you individually from a strength based perspective. They want to figure out your needs and goals for dealing with substance use and help you begin to align your thoughts and behaviors toward taking productive actions and making healthy choices. The end goal is to recover your driver’s license while getting your life back on track.
They provide individual and group counseling sessions with professional counselors approved by the State of Maryland. They prefer to use cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT as a form of treatment to help you break emotional or psychological ties to destructive behaviors.
The anger management program takes place on Saturdays over the course of two three-hour sessions. You’ll get a certificate of completion for the courts after you finish.
