About Saginaw Odyssey House – Saginaw
Saginaw Odyssey House, operated by Odyssey Village, is a women’s residential facility in Saginaw, Michigan. It’s specifically designed for female intravenous drug users, pregnant women and women with children. Clients will be able to focus on recovery in a safe environment.
Saginaw Odyssey House believes in the community method of treatment to help their clients recover from addiction. The community method involves a combination of peer support and professional counseling to promote positive growth.
Through group counseling sessions, you’ll receive the encouragement of your peers as you discuss your journey of healing. Your peers will also be able to provide you insights through their experiences with overcoming addiction.
Your counselor will guide you to an understanding of the causes of your addiction. They can help you identify your triggers and suggest coping strategies to avoid relapsing.
The organization understands that transitioning back into everyday life after completing the program can be a challenge. Odyssey Village has recovery housing available for clients to have a safe and therapeutic environment to continue maintaining their sobriety. You’ll be able to stay in the housing for up to 12 months.
One thing I like about this facility’s location is it’s near various recreational attractions in town that can be a fun way to spend your time. You can visit Temple Theatre and Dow Event Center to watch various live shows and music. The Castle Museum of Saginaw County History is a great spot to learn about the local history of the town.
