About Saginaw Psychological Services Inc. – Saginaw
Saginaw Psychological Services started in 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan. They help folks of all ages who have struggled with drug abuse or have issues regarding their mental health. If you’re battling any of these conditions, they can help with outpatient programs in person and via telehealth.
Your first step will be a screening for any psychological disorders. This can include anger management, stress and disruptive behaviors that have lasted longer than six months. For kids they’ll check for early signs of drug use, gambling, sexual activity or smoking. All these can be signs of a deeper disorder.
Once you’re diagnosed they’ll offer several options. This can include managing meds or signing up for group and individual therapy. You can also pick up new life skills in workshops with your peers. This will help you find better ways to cope with any of life’s frustrations rather than going at it alone or turning to drugs. If you’re having trouble with withdrawal or are worried about relapsing you might get some buprenorphine to ease those conditions so you can focus on your recovery.
Along the way they can help with family troubles, issues between couples and any stigmas that can be a burden. If you’re a member of the LGBTQ+ community they have a separate track that can help you with what you’re going through.
They also have programs to fulfill orders from various agencies and court programs. There’s an IQ test to see if you’re fit for duty. There’s also a program for child custody cases. Parenting classes are also provided if needed.
