Saint Joseph’s Medical Center’s Port Chester Recovery Center is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Port Chester, New York. They’re an outpatient service that treats adolescents and adults. They treat people who have been diagnosed with a mental health condition at the same time that they are struggling with addiction issues.
When you first go in, you’ll take an assessment. A counselor will ask you multiple questions about your substance use and medical history. They’ll design a treatment plan for you based on your answer to those questions. If those questions are in Spanish, it’s no problem. They have fluent Spanish speakers onsite.
The thing I like best about this program is all the different ways they involve your family and loved ones in recovery. They have family group sessions where you can discuss your struggles with substances with the guidance of a psychotherapist. They have a significant other support group so that you and the person you love can discuss the way substance abuse affects your relationship.
Everyone receives both group and individual therapy. They will give you coping mechanisms to avoid a relapse. This can include medication assisted treatment that includes Suboxone. They also offer anger management classes. If you’ve a DUI, they’re qualified to give you any mandatory assessments that you may need.
