SalusCare is a behavioral healthcare organization in Fort Myers, Florida. The Ortiz Campus provides substance abuse and mental health treatment for adults and mental and behavioral health care for youth. The facility strives to make treatment accessible for everyone by allowing patients to pay fees for service based on their household income. They also accept Medicaid, Medicare and some major health insurance providers.
SalusCare has been providing care in the Southwest Florida Community for over a decade. A clinician will decide on the best treatment options for your needs after performing an assessment. The facility provides both individual and group counseling, and you have the convenience of receiving this service through telemedicine.
Priority admission to substance use programs is given to pregnant women, intravenous drug users and women with children. In some cases, clients may need a combination of medication and counseling to begin their recovery. Staff members can refer you to the Medication Assisted Treatment program available at the Evans Campus.
One unique program offered by SalusCare is the Diversion service. Individuals involved with the legal system who have co occurring substance use disorders can be diverted from criminalization or institutionalization. The facility works with the courts to expedite legal matters caused by your mental illness. Staff members will also provide you with advocacy, specialized resource coordination and competency restoration training.
Substance use can also have an effect on children and other family members of a loved one struggling with addiction. The Ortiz Campus offers on site therapeutic services for children and families, including individual, family and group therapy. Topics that the counselor may touch on include anger management skills, social skills, and parenting skills.
