About Salvation Army Detroit Harbor Light – Detroit
The Salvation Army Harbor Light provides a recovery program for adults in need of alcohol or drug rehab. They provide detox, residential, intensive outpatient, general outpatient and transitional housing programs. They have specialized programs for women and children and veterans. They accept walk-in and referral patients.
The Salvation Army Harbor Light’s program includes a three to five day detox process using medication assisted treatment. Using Suboxone & Vivitrol allows clients to limit withdrawal symptoms and detox safely and as comfortably as possible.
Residential treatment can last 30 to 90 days. Various mental health and primary care services such as individual, family and group therapy, spiritual counseling and legal aid are available. Food, shelter and support are provided.
Outpatient programs are flexible to accommodate multiple schedules. Daytime, evening and weekend sessions are offered. The IOP and GOP provide similar treatment but the IOP requires more treatment hours per week.
