About Salvation Army Transition and Recovery Center – Santa Barbara
If you’re down on your luck, Santa Barbara Hospitality House has temp housing for adults. It’s located in Santa Barbara, California. Their goal is to help you break free from any alcohol and drug addictions so you can find a job and start earning a steady income. Then, they’ll help you get back to your home and family. Like most other Salvation Army programs, the costs are low or even free.
You can stay with them for as long as you need. You’ll have a warm bed and warm meals. But they don’t just let you sleep the day away. They’ll shore you up with emotional and spiritual counseling to overcome any personal demons. They have educational classes, life skills and job training to help you improve. By the time you graduate, you’ll have enough arms from this army to be set for a healthier, happier future.
Once you complete the program, they’ll help you find more permanent housing that allows you to work on your recovery and independence.
