Samaritan Daytop Village – 3rd Avenue offers alcohol and drug rehab services in the Bronx, New York. As part of a larger comprehensive health and human services agency with over 60 locations, Samaritan Daytop Village offers medication assisted treatment, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services for young adults, adults, and families. Specialized programs are available for adolescents, veterans, seniors, homeless/indigent persons, mothers with children, and gender specific groups. Services are available in English and multiple languages.
Clients may receive medication assisted treatment to reduce their cravings and ease withdrawal pains. Licensed clinicians administer FDA approved prescriptions, which can include methadone and buprenorphine, to prevent relapse. Medication assisted treatment is available throughout the recovery program, and clients receive supervision while dosing.
The residential program at Samaritan Daytop Village provides holistic behavioral and primary health care in a trauma informed setting. This program is best suited for those who need a high level of care and 24/7 monitoring during the initial phase of treatment. Physicians, nurses, addiction counselors, social workers, vocational counselors, and recovery counselors provide case management services via evidence based interventions such as medication management, individual counseling, group counseling, skills development, and enhancement programs. Harm reduction tools, including narcan, are available.
The outpatient program is for those capable of undergoing the recovery process while returning home in the evening to sleep. Daytop Village – 3rd Avenue’s outpatient program offers individualized levels of care with additional services to meet person centered treatment goals. Through behavioral intervention, peer support, and evidence based practices, the deeper inner work is accomplished. Individual and group therapy are also provided to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders.
Samaritan Daytop Village offers continual care and support for all alumni. Referrals may be available for outside facilities, social services with the Samaritan network, and specialized programs.
