This VA provides clients with medical-assisted treatment where the clients are given medications to assist with withdrawals and cravings for opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and tobacco use disorder. While medications like methadone, acamprosate, and bupropion are used to combat withdrawal symptoms, behavioral therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and motivational enhancement therapy to identify any underlying mental issues and triggers.
Outpatient services allow clients to attend treatment with the flexibility of tending to other commitments like work and school. Clients attend weekly treatment that consists of individual and group therapy where they share their experiences with others while building vital life and coping skills.
Aftercare services act as an extension of the program the client has completed. Alumni are given access to recovery education, program referrals, and 12-step support programs.
