About Santa Maria Hostel – Houston
Santa Maria Hostel provides addiction recovery services for adult women in Houston, Texas. Their services include detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare support. Specialized services are available for pregnant, postpartum, and mothering women, clients in the criminal justice system, and clients with co-occurring conditions.
Detox allows clients to remove harmful and addictive substances from their bodies as they begin their recovery journeys. This process takes place in a residential environment with around the clock medical supervision and support. You’re encouraged to transition into full-time residential treatment when the process is complete.
They offer an array of residential treatment programs designed to support women in all stages of life. Services are individualized around each client’s needs and may include individual and group therapy, parenting education, life skills training, relapse prevention training, and GED services. Clients participating in the facility’s intensive inpatient program will attend 30 hours of curriculum review each week. Less-structured, supportive inpatient services are also available, including case management, housing assistance, family counseling and educational support, trauma-focused therapy, recreational therapy, fitness and nutrition courses, anger management therapy, and similar offerings.
You’ll then transition into outpatient treatment or require a lower initial level of care and participate in many of the same services. The difference is that they’re allowed to live at home while attending treatment during the day. They can also participate in peer-based recovery support groups, 12 Step meetings, and individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Their aftercare program helps clients connect with additional providers that can support their recovery journey. This may include transitional housing assistance, weekly peer recovery coaching, career counseling, and similar services.
