About Scan Inc – Brownsville

SCAN, located in Brownsville, Texas is a youth recovery home for males aged 13 to 17.
This 16-bed facility provides residential alcohol and drug rehab with a focus on aggression and impulse issues.

Adolescents attend school in a local school district campus. Their classroom is tailored to meet their unique needs. Their education focuses on academic instruction as well as overdose prevention, tobacco cessation, and family education. HIV testing, screening, education, and counseling are also available.

Therapeutic elements for residents include assessment, creating a treatment plan, education, and relapse prevention. Clients have access to trauma-informed counseling for the individual, as well as for the group and family. Parents, caretakers, and other family members can join in family services on weekends.

This youth recovery home provides access to various social and recreational activities such as mindfulness groups and experiential exercise.
