About SCLHSA – Saint Mary Behavioral Health Center – Morgan City
Located in Morgan City, Louisiana, South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority (SCLHSA)’s Saint Mary Behavioral Health Center provides outpatient addiction recovery services for teenagers and adults. They focus on treating the whole client. They take physical, mental, behavioral, and emotional needs into account.
Each person will undergo a behavioral health assessment so providers can create a treatment plan that fits their needs. Some of the services available include individual and group counseling sessions, marriage and family counseling, recovery education, life skills training, and crisis intervention support. Specialized, priority services are given to pregnant women and intravenous drug users.
One treatment option for those who struggle with opioid or alcohol use is medication assisted treatment (MAT). This allows you to use approved medication to manage cravings and avoid relapse while you’re in treatment.
