About Seekers of Serenity Place – Columbus
Seekers of Serenity Place is an addiction treatment facility for adults, located in Columbus, Nebraska. They provide a range of services, including detox, residential and outpatient treatment, and aftercare support.
Detox provides stabilization for clients with addictions. When detox is completed in an inpatient setting, a multi-disciplinary team of providers will monitor each client’s vital signs and withdrawal symptoms to ensure the process is as comfortable as possible. When detox is completed on an outpatient basis, monitoring isn’t continuous. The length of detox and the method used vary depending on what is best for you.
Their residential program is for those who need a high level of support in the initial phases of their recovery. Basic, daily needs such as accommodations and food are taken care of throughout the duration of the stay. An individual treatment plan will be created to meet your goals and needs. Individual and group therapy are offered. Treatment will incorporate an abstinence model, 12 Steps, relapse prevention strategies, the use of interventions, and family programming. Each week, you’ll complete a minimum of 24 hours of therapeutic activity.
The 12 Step program is a common recovery model based on Alcoholics Anonymous. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a plan for recovery based on a Higher Power. Middle steps include self examination and making amends to those who’ve been hurt by the addiction. The later steps include continuing to take personal inventory while living a life of recovery and supporting others in doing the same. Additional 12 Step groups include Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
When clients are ready to transition into a less intensive level of care, they can participate in the facility’s outpatient services. These may be similar to those offered in inpatient treatment, but offered on a schedule that allows clients to live at home and participate in personal and professional duties. Personalized consultations and evaluations are available, along with individual, family, and group therapy. Aftercare includes referrals to local, community-based providers that can offer additional types of recovery support, which may include transportation, transitional housing, career counseling, and related resources.
They may accept most forms of commercial insurance. Ask your provider to check your coverage because out of network benefits could vary.
