About Seneca County Addictions Program – Waterloo

Residents of Waterloo, New York have local access to the Seneca County Addictions Program. This program operates under the Seneca County Community Counseling Center and serves individuals and families who have been impacted by substance use.

They’ll provide you with culturally competent care, evidence based treatment options, and person focused services that recognize your unique struggles. This allows you to work towards a healthy future. You won’t be denied care because of an inability to pay.

Medication assisted treatment using FDA approved medications is offered here. This is a proven treatment approach that helps you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms so that you can focus on the counseling and therapy sessions you’ll receive.

You’ll work with an integrative team that will also help address co occurring mental health struggles you’re facing as well. While MAT doesn’t address symptoms of mental health, when you’re able to control cravings, you’ll find that some mental health symptoms will be alleviated as well. You’ll still receive targeted mental health care support if you require it, however.

The care you receive through the Seneca County Addictions Program is designed to help you maintain your sobriety even for the long term. You’ll find that the care team here addresses struggles you’re facing with targeted addiction counseling.

However, you’ll also be empowered to progress in your life through vocational counseling where you’ll learn real world employment skills that can help you land gainful employment.

Through their targeted case management, you can also get connected to other organizations in the community that can help you in the long term. This might include youth groups designed for at risk adolescents and 12-step programs for adults in recovery.
