About Serenity Treatment Center – Frederick

Serenity Treatment Center in Frederick, Maryland, provides a variety of addiction treatment options for adults seeking recovery from substance use disorders. The center has been open since 2010 and provides intensive outpatient, traditional outpatient and DUI and DWI education. You also have access to drug and alcohol testing, community support groups and medications prescribed for opioid use disorders.

The treatments make it possible to support you and your family on your recovery journey. Intensive outpatient therapy is offered in the morning and evening hours so you can meet some of your work and school obligations. Group therapy focuses on early recovery skills and relapse prevention.

You’ll learn to apply cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to experience lasting change in your life. Once you’ve completed the intensive outpatient program (IOP), you may graduate to a traditional outpatient program (OP) where you receive clinical support and therapy sessions that meet one to two times a week for at least 26 weeks.

These treatments help support your addiction recovery. If you have had interactions with the criminal justice system after driving while under the influence, they offer a state approved treatment program with flexible scheduling to meet your court mandated requirements.

Throughout your treatment and at the request of your employer or housing provider, they offer drug and alcohol testing to ensure your compliance with legal obligations. Community support groups address issues with partner violence and more where you can connect with people who are facing some of the same challenges that you do.

They also offer family counseling to address the effect that substance abuse and addiction has had on each family member. They have had more than 3,500 people graduate from the program and have been accredited by CARF for more than seven years.

They accept most major insurance providers, including Medicaid. They will verify your insurance before beginning treatment and will work with you to help make the services affordable and accessible.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
