Their main service is helping homeless people with housing. They also have behavioral health and substance use programs, and they offer assistance for veterans who are returning to civilian life. They believe the opportunity to find a home is a right for every New Yorker.

They use an assertive community treatment (ACT) method that delivers comprehensive mental health treatment. They strive to help people who haven’t been able to get the help they need from traditional or clinical based approaches. It’s a recovery oriented, preventative plan for helping people in their homes, parks, shelters or anywhere they might currently live.

They look to help you engage in a sustained relationship that leads to your recovery. They have mobile units with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, rehab experts and peers as needed.

As part of their Wellness Works Clinics program, they engage in medication assisted treatment or MAT along with individual and group therapy. They help you develop coping skills as you begin to stabilize through treatment.

They also offer medication management and ancillary withdrawal services as well as housing support and referrals for housing, job support and coaching. They can point you in the right direction to use community resources for extra help with your recovery.

What I really like about this treatment center is that they understand the value of a decent home and a roof over your head. They seem intent on working with people without judgment and helping them get to a better place while recovering from mental health and substance use issues.
