About Serving Children and Adults in Need, Inc. (SCAN) – Laredo
Located in Laredo, Texas, SCAN- Serving Children and Adults in Need is a trauma-informed, mental health service and drug rehab facility that provides services to children, teens, and adults. They offer evidence-based treatment for a wide variety of conditions.
SCAN- Serving Children and Adults in Need offers community based programming for those with addiction, HIV, trauma, mental health conditions, and who have been a victim of a crime. Services include:
Residential
This program is for those who need a high level of care. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and educational classes are offered. Evidence-based interventions are used in conjunction with a person-centered approach to treatment.
Outpatient
This program offers individual therapy, group therapy, and psycho-educational groups. It also has specialty tracks for those who have been victims of crimes, who are suffering from HIV/AIDS, or who need outreach programming. Peer-supported recovery programming is also provided. Drop-in groups are provided based on age and language spoken.
Medication Assisted Treatment
FDA-approved medications are combined with individual therapy to help clients mitigate cravings and withdrawal symptoms, while also supporting them in working through mental health issues that contribute to addiction.
