About Seven Counties Services – South 7th Street – Louisville
Seven Counties Services has undergone a few name changes, having been known as Centerstone in 2016, and then changing its name back to Seven Counties in 2020. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, this facility offers accredited behavioral support services in partnership with Jefferson County Public Schools. Addiction treatment services for adults are also available.
The center’s Western Day Treatment program supports children from kindergarten to 5th grade struggling with emotional, mental, and behavioral disturbances through treatment methods like individual, group, and family therapy. They provide case management too. Psychiatric services and various assessment measures are also provided throughout the course of clients’ 6 to 12 month participation.
All the while, kids on this program maintain their regular schooling schedule, and commute to and from with their peers whilst on the program. One of the differences participants will experience while at school is smaller classroom sizes, with no more than 8 students per class, allowing for more individualized attention.
Care is coordinated through consultation with family and loved ones, mental health specialists, and the childrens’ school system to ensure seamless care.
The center also offers addiction treatment services for adults and teens. These include various intervention services, such as a Zero-Tolerance Under 21 DUI Program (ZT) for young people who’ve gotten into legal trouble as a result of substance misuse. Meanwhile, the Kentucky Moms initiative supports pregnant and postpartum individuals by engaging them in addiction prevention education, case management, substance use treatment, and other services. Referrals can also be made to the nearby Seven Counties Drug Rehab Center for further support.
