About Shasta County Mental Health – Redding
Shasta County Mental Health, located in Redding, California, provides behavioral health care, alcohol and drug rehab services, and intensive case management services to youth, adolescents, and adults. Their continuum of care ranges from residential treatment to outpatient treatment.
The residential program is for individuals who need 24/7 supervision. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, relapse prevention programming, and psychoeducational classes are provided. This program is open to those who have serious mental illness, those who have been court-ordered, and those living with dual diagnosis.
The partial hospitalization program meets Monday through Friday in most cases. Clients will be able to return home in the evening hours. Services include psychoeducational classes, skills-building classes, and relapse prevention.
The outpatient program meets one to three times a week on average. Individual therapy, group therapy, and self-help classes are provided. This program can also provide intensive case management services to those who are seriously mentally ill or for those who need help but who may lack the ability to recognize they need additional care.
