About Shepherds Shelter & Ross Rehab – Mount Sterling
Shepherds Shelter & Ross Rehab is a faith based, privately owned addiction treatment facility in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Set on sprawling farmland at the roots of the Appalachian Mountains the facility is surrounded by the tranquility of nature. You’ll find a peaceful, safe haven for your recovery as you live onsite for your treatment.
Mount Sterling is a city steeped in history, yet open to progress. When it comes to finding freedom from addiction, whatever your history, they’ll help you embrace a different way of living and move on to a better life. The building you’ll stay in used to be a nursing home. It’s been converted and modernized to suit the needs of the rehab. The facility has room for 54 people.
Mount Sterling boasts many horse farms, including some that produce thoroughbreds. This type of setting often takes advantage of the location by offering equine therapy.
As a Christian rehab, they take a holistic, spiritual approach to recovery. You’ll learn your strengths and find out how to use them for recovery. They’ll also teach you life management skills.
What I appreciate about this center is that those in treatment become a recovery community. Together they learn healthy coping skills and go through social rehabilitation. You’ll make friends with your peers. Together you’ll be empowered to own your recovery and lower the chances of relapse.
As an AODE licensed, CARF and ASAM accredited facility, they use proven therapy methods, as well as spiritual input to bring you to freedom from addiction. The clinical staff provides a medicine management function for clients in the program.
