About Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Rehabilitation Day Program – Timonium
The Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Rehabilitation Day Program is located in the commercial district of Lutherville Timonium, Maryland. This site used to be known as The Mosaic. It’s a program for adults who have severe mental illness, and the program also has addiction treatment for people who have a dual diagnosis. In other words, they can help you if you have substance use disorders and mental illnesses.
The Sheppard Pratt health system has a wide range of programs and treatment options, but this particular treatment center has a day program. In a day program, you come to the center for treatment every weekday. You’re getting a similar amount of treatment as you’d get in a residential rehab but you continue living at home or in a sober living facility.
The treatment here is tailored to you and what you need. They’ll offer you a range of individual and group therapies. They also have holistic services like fitness and art therapy. There’s addiction counseling and addiction education as well as psychoeducation to help you better understand your mental illness.
The goal here is to help you develop skills and mindset for long term recovery and to help you live independently while managing your mental health and addiction. You’ll develop social skills and coping skills as well and you’ll have a strong community of peer support. I’m impressed to see the level of personalization and attentiveness that they seem to offer here so everyone gets the specialized care they need.
Lutherville Timonium also has a compendium of local activities that offer healthier ways to cope with stress. Breakout Games isn’t too far away, and the Lutherville Station Shopping Center is the next block over.
