Pascagoula Hospital is part of the Singing River Health System network in Pascagoula, Mississippi. They’re a full service healthcare facility that can hold up to 435 people at a time. They offer inpatient and outpatient services for clients of all ages, including behavioral health and rehabilitative services for adults, which may cover co-occurring conditions like addiction. You can apply here on your own or get a referral. They’ll take self pay, private insurance, and Medicare. There’s also a financial assistance program available.
You need a referral to participate in their inpatient program. There, you’ll receive round the clock care in a therapeutic environment. Something I found interesting about the facility was the range of different issues they’re set up to treat. They’re the only unit on the coast of the Mississippi Gulf that provides acute psychiatric treatment and medical treatment for people with behavioral health issues.
If you need to stabilize before you start your treatment plan, you can do so there. Then you’ll start your custom program, which will include a mix of individual and group counseling. Other services you can participate in on site include psychological testing, medication management, social work assessments and recreational therapy.
