About Sober Living Ohio – Cincinnati
Sober Living – Camp Washington Men’s House is a non profit supportive housing program for adult men recovering from alcohol and drug disorders in Cincinnati, Ohio. You’ll learn essential skills to help you build and maintain a sober lifestyle. You’ll also get recovery education and robust peer coaching and support.
Residents are expected to work or volunteer during their stay. Modest rent payments are required. You’ll also cultivate accountability and responsibility as you participate in household chores and build healthy relationships with your housemates in recovery.
You’ll be expected to abide by house rules, adhere to your treatment plan, and remain drug and alcohol free while living at the sober house. The program is primarily focused on helping men get and stay sober by inspiring a can-do attitude and bringing them together for mutual support and supportive relationships.
Traditional 12 step recovery programs are made available off site nearby, and regular attendance is mandatory to remain a resident.
I also like that they address the very real economic problems that many indigent men face from a life on and off the streets. They offer free bus passes to clients who do not own an automobile and need to get to and from work within the allowed curfew hours. People staying here can participate in recreational and confidence building activities like group basketball and regular socialization.
Past residents have very positive things to say about the facility. They compliment the relaxed and supportive environment. It’s a nice detached three story home in a community, neighborhood setting that incubates personal recovery in a structured environment.
