About Sobriety House – Detroit
Sobriety House is a substance abuse and mental health treatment facility dedicated to the rehabilitation of adult males in recovery from drugs and alcohol in and around the Detroit area. This clinic has been taking action since it was established in 1964.
The clinic offers multiple treatment options and each treatment plan will be highly individualized and customized based on your needs, history, and the strategies that work best for you. The goal is to find long term recovery and be strong during temptation periods that could lead to a relapse.
Once you are admitted you may be place in inpatient or outpatient care. Individuals who need inpatient residential treatment have the option of utilizing work therapy where residents are provided with a specific chore list every day to help them become more responsible, feel a sense of purpose, and build a connection with the community.
In the outpatient therapy program a case manager will help you understand your options and the resources available. You will have the opportunity to engage in therapy, take advantage of aftercare planning services to maintain your recovery and reach out to recovery coaches about questions you have. You’ll also enjoy recreational therapy and go to group therapy or group meetings.
Sobriety House offers several specialized therapy options for certain circumstances. For instance, codependency therapy can help individuals who struggle to make independent life choices, and co occurring treatment can help individuals who have dual diagnoses of substance use disorder and a mental health condition. The facility also offers cognitive behavioral, didactic behavioral, individual, group, and family therapy. Since Sobriety House caters to males, all therapy is gender specific and focuses on the male perspective.
