About Southwest Driver Benefits Program – Torrance
The Southwest Driver Benefits Program is a driving under the influence (DUI) substance abuse treatment and education program. They offer outpatient services for adult and teenage drivers who are facing convictions for DUI and driving while intoxicated (DWI) offenses. You’ll find ’em out in Torrance, California.
Their outpatient programs equip clients to modify addictive behavior patterns through abstinence, counseling, self-awareness, and educational sessions. Clients learn about alcohol/drug awareness and participate in group and individual counseling sessions, tailored to their needs. Clients are referred to hospital in-patient programs for medical detox.
Community care is a key component of the program as clients are actively encouraged to participate in peer-led addiction recovery services, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous.
Fees vary for different components of the program and may be reduced at the Program Director’s discretion. Referrals for a higher level of intensity alcohol or drug rehab treatment may be covered in part or in full by major insurers, such as Aetna, Amerigroup, Bright Health, ComPsych, Wellmark, or HCSC.
