About Spectrum Care Academy – Elizabethtown
Spectrum Care Academy is a clinical school in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. They provide residential care for boys ages 8-14. The school is a ranch setting on 40 acres of woods, including a historic log cabin. To be admitted, you must have had a psychiatric evaluation and a referral.
At Spectrum Care, you’ll be one of eight residents. Among the amenities are fishing, nature walks, looking at wild animals, and doing sports. The school is staffed with accredited teachers so you won’t fall behind your grade. There are holistic courses in gardening, gathering arrowheads, and observing nature.
You’ll also undergo counseling to address any behavioral issues. These therapy sessions are woven with your school work, so it’ll all seem natural.
