About St. Anthony Recovery and Treatment – 59th Street – Oklahoma City
St. Anthony Recovery and Treatment (START) – 59th Street is located at the Midtown Campus for SSM Health Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This program is dedicated to providing comprehensive addiction recovery service, along with behavioral health help. The START program is completely voluntary and aims to help those seeking support during their recovery progress to regain control over their lives with the help of evidence-based treatments.
The START program works with those struggling with addiction, along with their families, to address the root causes of drug and alcohol addiction. Each patient that walks in their doors receives personalized treatment. When the intake assessment begins, a licensed mental health professional will go over the patient’s withdrawal symptoms, medical history and psychosocial history to decide what treatment types are best to support recovery. The START program uses a combination of structured programs. Treatment options may include detoxification, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, aftercare programs and even an alumni support group.
This treatment program is very structured, as breakfast starts at 8:10 AM and by 9 AM, START has all of their residents in a lecture or a therapy session. Lunch time begins at 12:00 PM and the afternoon’s activities include a film, study, discussions or more therapy sessions. Dinner begins at 5:00 PM, and evenings include either Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous groups. START outlines that lights must be out by 11:00 PM. Residents are not allowed to leave for doctor’s appointments, court appointments, bring their own phones or smoke while in the START program.
START does not offer sliding scale payments. Since they are privately owned, they require that payments are made before an individual is allowed to begin using their program. But, they allow payment arrangements to be made through their business office.
