About St. Christopher’s Inn – Brothers Christopher House – White Plains

St. Christopher’s Inn is an organization with a residential program called Brother Christopher’s House. They are located in White Plains, New York. This is an 11-bed house with plenty of counseling services and benefits. They treat adults who have drug or alcohol addictions and encourage their growth and development in a myriad of ways. They offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) to those individuals who require it for detoxing. Medications such as Vivitrol or Suboxone can help by reducing cravings and even keeping things on the safe side by helping to avoid bad withdrawal symptoms.

This house is located at a convenient spot since they are within walking distance of several 12-step programs and recovery-based programs as well as nearby gyms, parks and places of worship. The house highly encourages 12-step involvement and spirituality. Iin other words, the emphasize belief and faith in a higher power.

As a side note, I will add that St. Christopher’s Inn does have an outpatient program as well. But for this page we’ll just be looking at their residential program’s features.

At this location, they offer individual counseling, group therapy, spiritual direction, recovery and health-related lectures, medication management for mental health, grief and loss groups, art therapy, choir classes, exercise, yoga, encouragement groups, help with quitting smoking and tobacco use, family support program, nature walks and recreational activities.
