About Star Center – Detroit
Located in Detroit Michigan is the Stars Center. This is a drug treatment facility that supports residents throughout Wayne County. This facility largely focuses on helping you recover from an opioid addiction, however, they can support you if you’re struggling with alcohol or drug use as well.
They primarily offer three programs here. This includes medication assisted treatment, counseling support, and their Gold Star Program which relies on case management for individualized treatment. They accept Medicaid and Healthy Michigan Plans here.
This program is specifically designed for individuals who have Medicaid or are beneficiaries of the Healthy Michigan Plan. It primarily serves individuals who have a co occurring opioid use disorder.
Under this program, you’ll be supported by wraparound services through their case management services. These services are incredibly diverse and include everything from assessments to detoxification and treatment. They also offer methadone medication assisted treatment to help you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
The Star Center is an incredibly supportive community made up of medical professionals, peer support specialists, and other staff who are committed to your success in recovering. A benefit of seeking support with such a close knit team is that you’ll experience compassion and care at every step of the way during recovery. You won’t feel judged and there are even transportation services to help make care accessible.
Many of the services at the Star Center are rooted in evidence based practices, but there are also person focused, holistic approaches to care too. You’ll get to participate in arts and crafts therapy and peer recovery services that allow you to connect with others who have gone through similar experiences.
There’s also a specialty women’s program that tackles gender specific issues as they relate to recovery and overall life.
