About Star of Hope – Transitional Living – Houston
Star of Hope Transitional Living was located in Houston, Texas. This location is closed, but it’s important to note that Star of Hope is still an active organization and has substance use treatment and other transitional living programs around Houston.
They offered transitional housing and substance abuse recovery services for vulnerable populations, especially for those who were homeless. They are a Christ centered community that was dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women and children.
They used a comprehensive approach to addressing several issues that affect homeless people and families both short and long term. Along with community partners and donors, they looked to use compassionate and purposeful outreach to help set meaningful goals to achieve independence and rise from poverty.
Star of Hope still helps with career, personal and spiritual development. They provide counseling, onsite daycare, and parenting classes as well as preventative services and access to health clinics. They also focus on helping with trauma and promoting mental and emotional stability in their other locations.
