About Stepping Stone – Boone
Stepping Stone Rehab is part of Pinnacle Treatment Centers, and they’re licensed by the North Carolina Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation. The facility is located on Greenway Road in Boone, North Carolina, and is an outpatient substance use and mental health disorder treatment center. They specialize in opioid use disorder and offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) for detox. The Boone facility accepts insurance from many major carriers. They also take VA Community Care, Medicare, and Medicaid.
The staff offers customized treatment plans that put clients first. They’ll help you fit treatment into your schedule regardless of your circumstances. If you’re working, a student, or stay at home parent, they’ll help you figure out a way to make your recovery sustainable.
You’ll start with an assessment with a medical professional who will then develop an individualized treatment plan. MAT treatment may include any of multiple medications, including Suboxone, methadone, or buprenorphine.
Along with medication, you’ll have individual and group therapy. The staff believes in community based care, so when it’s appropriate, they include your family, friends, or whomever else you wish to include in your care.
You’ll engage in evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to traditional therapies, they may offer alternative therapies. These may include creative writing, journaling, art, and music therapies.
Even if it’s not in therapy, creative writing helps you explore your imagination and process complex thoughts and emotions more creatively which can help in your recovery. Journaling is another way to help you process thoughts and feelings while tracking progress and gaining clarity about your experiences.
