About Stepping Stone – Evansville
Stepping Stone is an addiction treatment program provided by Southwest Behavioral Healthcare. They offer residential and outpatient services for adults in Evansville, Indiana. There are lots of ways to pay for your services, including self payment, private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and Healthy Indiana Plan. They also offer sliding fee discounts for eligible clients.
If you need a high level of care as you recover from addiction, you can start out at their residential facility. This is a co ed building that can hold up to 32 clients at a time. Most people stay here for three to four weeks and attend treatment from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The services offered here include counseling sessions for individuals, families, and groups, life skills training, addiction education classes, and peer support groups. You’ll also learn about some of the local self help groups that are located nearby. If you need to detox before participating in other treatment services, they can help you do that, too.
When you’re ready to step down into a lower level of care, they’ll work with you to develop an outpatient treatment plan. Most clients are in outpatient treatment for 21 to 28 days, which includes seeing a counselor to discuss your recovery progress.
