Steppingstone – Men’s Recovery Home in Fall River, Massachusetts offers medication assisted treatment and inpatient treatment for men with alcohol and/or substance addiction. Referrals are available for outpatient and transitional living centers as needed. Services are available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The building is a three story structure providing a comfortable, sober, home like environment. There is 24 hour staff coverage to assist patients if needed. During admission, the intake staff will explain more about participation in treatment and will supply clients with all of the documentation and information they need to understand the program, its benefits, and requirements. Programs can include individual and group counseling, drug testing, and family resources. Social services are also accessible, including supportive housing programs.

During treatment, clients may be eligible for medication assisted treatment. This program consists of FDA approved methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone to assist in relapse prevention by reducing cravings and easing withdrawal pains. Clients are supervised throughout treatment by their case management team.

Levels of Care

12-Step

12 step programs such as Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous are support group style programs for individuals who are experiencing alcohol or substance use disorder. At Evoke they use a holistic model of addiction care that includes using 12 step programs. These programs are an integral part of most relapse prevention plans and provide continued support and accountability that support sobriety.

24-Hour Clinical Care

24 hour clinical care provides close medical supervision for individuals in the early stages of recovery. Medical professionals monitor individuals around the clock for complications and provide immediate intervention when needed.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Sober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
