South Texas Substance Abuse Recovery Services provides outpatient substance abuse treatment programs in Corpus Christi, Texas. They provide a wide range of programs to be able to meet the changing needs of their clients. The organization is CARF-accredited. Some of their programs are funded by the Texas Department of State Health Services. If you cannot afford treatment then the services will be free.
Their neonatal abstinence syndrome opioid treatment services are for pregnant and postpartum women, 18 years and older, who have moderate to severe opioid use disorder. You’ll be provided the opportunity to improve your health and your overall quality of life. I like that with your opioid treatment you’ll also be able to test for communicable diseases and receive immunizations. If you have Hepatitis C, a co-occurring psychiatric disorder or abscesses due to drug use via injection then you can go here to receive treatment.
If you’re an adult who is sentenced in the criminal justice system then you’ll be able to receive substance use disorder treatment and reentry services with their Project Tratamiento. If needed, medication assisted treatment (MAT) will be available to help manage the systems of withdrawal. An assessment will be conducted to determine the best course of treatment. Along with counseling, case management services will be provided.
The Project Bienestar is for men and women who have a substance use disorder, behavioral use disorder or are at high risk for HIV and hepatitis. They also serve those who are living with HIV. This program does offer MAT services as well for opioid addiction. You’ll attend outpatient counseling sessions and case management will be provided.
Methadone treatment is available through their opiate addiction recovery services program. If you have a dual diagnosis you will also be able to receive treatment. Their Vida Buena program offers adults six months of funding for MAT if they meet the criteria of opioid use disorder.
